Points To Prepare For The Return of Jesus Christ

Dear Church Family,

Much is going on in this world. Indeed, we find that we are living in perilous times, in these last days, as we have studied in our services this month. We read in 2 Timothy 3:1-5, "But know this, that in the last day perilous times will come. For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!"

Last Sunday, I gave you four points to prepare for the return of Jesus Christ:

1. Develop personal holiness: 2 Peter 3:11-12 "Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives as you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming. That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat. But in keeping with His promise, we're looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness dwells. So then, dear friends, since you are looking forward to this, make every effort to be found spotless, blameless, and at peace with Him."

2. Be in continual prayer: James 5:16 "The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man (woman, child, youth) avails much."

"John Knox prayed and the results caused Queen Mary to say that she feared the prayers of John Knox more than she feared all the armies of Scotland.

John Wesley prayed, and revival came to England, sparing that nation the horrors of the French Revolution.

Jonathan Edwards prayed and revival spread thoughout the American colonies. History has been changed time after time because of prayer. I tell you, history could be changed again if people went to their knees in believing prayer.

Even when times are bleak and the world scorns God, He still works through the prayers of His people."

PRAY TODAY FOR REVIVAL- IN RADIANT HOPE CHURCH, IN OUR CITY, OUR NATION, AND THE NATIONS! ATTEND ONE OF OUR PRAYER GROUPS ONCE A WEEK!

Prepare on Saturday, set your alarm clock earler on Sunday, and be at Church at 10:00 am Sundays to pray in unity and in expectation of God's outpouring His Holy Spirit. Set Wednesday as your Radiant Hope Church "Day of Prayer and Fasting".

3. Complete the Purposes of God for your life. Ephesians 2:10 "For we are His poema- creative masterpiece, created by Christ Jesus for good works which are our assigned tasks."

4. Share the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ with everyone you can! Matthew 24:14 "And this gospel of the Kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come." Join Marisela and the Evangelism team as they go out to evangelize in our community! Last Sunday, they gave away 50 boxes of spinach and other vegetables as they visited and shared the Gospel with people at the Golden Chi ck near the church. God will use you to let others know of His love for them and His wonderful plan of redemption for their lives.

Friends, let's get ready! Work on each of these four points as you prepare your life and your family for the return of Jesus Christ!
